ota2GO works with your Tablo over-the-air (OTA) digital video recorder (DVR) to let you download recordings from your Tablo to your phone or tablet for offline viewing or archiving!

To get started, simply run ota2GO while you are connected to the same network as your Tablo. ota2GO will find your Tablo, show you available recordings, and let you watch or download videos.

ota2GO has two ways to download videos: Time Saver and Space Saver.

Time Saver copies recordings from your Tablo and stores the full-sized files on your device. Time Saver is intended for devices with plenty of available storage, and has the advantage of downloading recordings quickly - a full 2 hour movie downloads in 15-20 minutes, but can be more than 5 GB in size. Time Saver downloads also support closed captions.

Space Saver copies recordings from your Tablo, but encodes them using lower quality and resolution settings in order to produce a much smaller file. Space Saver is intended for devices with limited amounts of available storage. The encoding process is lengthy - a 2 hour movie takes approximately 2 hours to encode - but the resulting file is significantly smaller. Using Space Saver you can start your download(s) at night and by morning they will be completed, in time for you to catch the latest episodes during your commute :)

The downloaded videos are also available to copy from your device to a computer through file explorer, but please ensure that you are using this app and the downloaded videos in full compliance with the copyright laws that may be applicable in your region. ota2GO is designed to provide personal, offline viewing and archiving and isn't intended to support distribution of copyrighted material.

ota2GO's internal player supports Tablo's new commercial skip capabilities. The app also supports surround sound (5.1) recordings by allowing you to select an external video player such as VLC or MX to play these recordings with sound in case your Android device doesn't natively support surround sound, as many do not. Just configure the external player in the Settings.

In the free Demo mode all features are available, but downloads are limited to 20 minutes in order to let you take it for a thorough test drive. Try the app for free for as long as you wish, and upgrade to full-length download capabilities only after you're sure that the app works as you'd like!

Per iniziare, esegui semplicemente ota2GO mentre sei connesso alla stessa rete di Tablo. ota2GO troverà il tuo Tablo, mostrerà le registrazioni disponibili e ti consentirà di guardare o scaricare video.

ota2GO ha due modi per scaricare video: Time Saver e Space Saver.

Time Saver copia le registrazioni da Tablo e archivia i file di dimensioni standard sul dispositivo. Time Saver è destinato a dispositivi con molta memoria disponibile e ha il vantaggio di scaricare rapidamente le registrazioni - un download di film completo di 2 ore in 15-20 minuti, ma può avere una dimensione superiore a 5 GB. I download di Time Saver supportano anche i sottotitoli.

Space Saver copia le registrazioni da Tablo, ma le codifica utilizzando impostazioni di qualità e risoluzione inferiori per produrre un file molto più piccolo. Space Saver è destinato a dispositivi con quantità limitate di spazio di archiviazione disponibile. Il processo di codifica è lungo: un film di 2 ore richiede circa 2 ore per la codifica, ma il file risultante è significativamente più piccolo. Usando Space Saver puoi avviare i tuoi download di notte e al mattino saranno completati, in tempo per permetterti di catturare gli ultimi episodi durante la tua permuta :)

I video scaricati sono anche disponibili per la copia dal tuo dispositivo al computer tramite Esplora file, ma assicurati di utilizzare questa app e i video scaricati nel pieno rispetto delle leggi sul copyright che potrebbero essere applicabili nella tua regione. ota2GO è progettato per fornire la visualizzazione e l'archiviazione personali e offline e non è destinato a supportare la distribuzione di materiale protetto da copyright.

Il player interno di ota2GO supporta le nuove funzionalità di skip commerciali di Tablo. L'app supporta anche le registrazioni audio surround (5.1) consentendo di selezionare un lettore video esterno come VLC o MX per riprodurre queste registrazioni con il suono nel caso in cui il tuo dispositivo Android non supporti nativamente il suono surround, come molti non lo fanno. Basta configurare il lettore esterno nelle Impostazioni.

Nella modalità Demo gratuita sono disponibili tutte le funzionalità, ma i download sono limitati a 20 minuti per consentirne l'esecuzione per un test drive approfondito. Prova gratuitamente l'app per tutto il tempo che desideri e passa alle funzionalità di download a lunghezza intera solo dopo esserti assicurato che l'app funzioni come desideri!
